Terms of Service
Last updated: October 14, 2026 · These terms cover the Deck Huddle apps and the deckhuddle.com / deckhuddle.app websites (together, the “Service”).
1. Agreeing to these terms
By downloading, installing or using Deck Huddle, or by using this website, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of someone else (say, handing your phone around the table), you're responsible for their use of it during your party.
2. The service, as-is
Deck Huddle is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including, without limitation, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, that defects will be corrected, or that any content (including card content) is accurate or appropriate for your group. Some jurisdictions don't allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you.
3. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Deck Huddle and its developer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill or good party vibes, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Service — even if advised of the possibility of such damages. To the same maximum extent, our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim (currently: nothing) and (b) fifty US dollars (USD $50).
4. Your content and shared decks
- You own your decks. Cards, photos and decks you create remain yours.
- You are responsible for what you create and share. When you share a deck with others or submit one to us, you confirm you have the rights to everything in it (text and images), that it doesn't violate any law or anyone's rights (copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity), and that it isn't malicious, deceptive or unlawfully harmful.
- Submission license. If you submit a deck to be featured, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to review, host, reproduce and distribute that deck through the Service (for example, in the in-app Marketplace), with attribution to the display name you provide. You can ask us to stop featuring a deck at any time at info@deckhuddle.com.
- We may decline or remove any submitted deck at our sole discretion, with or without notice — curation is not censorship, it's a party. In particular, we will remove content that we believe infringes someone's copyright or trademark (see the next section for how to report it).
5. Intellectual property, trademarks & comparative references
- Our marks. © 2026 Deck Huddle. Deck Huddle and the Deck Huddle logo are trademarks of their owner. The Service's software, design and original card content are protected by copyright.
- Third-party marks. The Service occasionally names well-known party games (for example in the "Comparable to…" lines of the game-mode picker and the How to Play guides) solely as comparative references so you can recognize a style of play. All third-party game names are trademarks of their respective owners. Deck Huddle is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of them, and no such reference implies otherwise. Deck Huddle's game modes and card content are our own original work.
- Copyright & trademark complaints (takedown). If you believe a deck or other content on the Service infringes your copyright or trademark, email info@deckhuddle.com with: (a) the material you claim is infringed, (b) where the allegedly infringing content appears (deck name / Marketplace listing / URL), (c) your contact details, (d) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized, and (e) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the rights owner or authorized to act for them. We review notices promptly, remove or disable content as appropriate, and may suspend submitters who repeatedly infringe. If your submitted deck was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you may send a counter-notice to the same address.
6. Adult content — 18+ is on you
The main Deck Huddle app is rated 18+ and includes decks rated 18+, which are shown by default; the 4+/12+/18+ age filters let a host hide them for a session. On the website, 18+ content sits behind an age confirmation. Deck Huddle Kids never shows teen or adult decks. You are solely responsible for showing adult content only when every participant is an adult (18+ or the age of majority where you live), for supervising the audience of any party you host, and for ensuring adult content you create or share is labeled with the appropriate age rating. Age filters, the website age confirmation and Deck Huddle Kids are conveniences, not parental-control guarantees.
7. Acceptable use
Don't abuse the Service: no reverse-engineering beyond what the law allows, no scraping or bulk-downloading of catalog content, no interfering with rooms or relays, no spam or automated submissions, and no using the submission form to send anything illegal. We may suspend access (including blocking submissions) to protect the Service or its users.
8. Third-party platforms
App distribution, in-app purchases (if ever offered), Game Center and similar services are provided by Apple and Google under their own terms. Your agreement with them is separate from these terms.
9. Disputes — the short, friendly version
If something goes wrong, email us first at info@deckhuddle.com — most issues resolve with one message. If we can't resolve a dispute informally within 60 days, you and we agree to resolve it by binding individual arbitration or in small-claims court, not by class or representative action, except where such an agreement is not enforceable in your jurisdiction (in which case your local law applies and disputes go to the courts of your place of residence or ours). You can opt out of arbitration by emailing us within 30 days of first accepting these terms.
10. Changes and termination
We may update these terms as the Service evolves; the date above will change and material updates will be noted in release notes. Continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept it. You may stop using the Service at any time; deleting the app removes its local data.
